I'm putting my experience out there for your feedback.
I ordered my truck Dec 1, 2021, and my order is STILL in processing.
(This post is long with lots of documentation. I know most of you aren't that interested, it's here for completeness)

12-1-2021 I ordered a Lariat Tremor with $2500 deposit. (I suspected I may have covid, called and ok'd dropping off a check and printout of build out the car window.)
12-15-2021 Visited Dealer to get a copy of paperwork for Truck, sales guy visited the sales manager and came back with a photocopy of my deposit receipt. I asked 3 separate times if there was additional paperwork, anything to sign etc. He said 'nope' and dismissed my request. I also asked to have the color changed to white.

2/24/2022 I call Ford Customer Service. Explain all the above. Rep can't find my order and gives me a short list of info to request. So, I paid another visit to the dealer and was 'reassured' that this was 100% normal, and told stories about Super duties, Mavericks and Broncos. Be patient....
3/14/2022 Call ford Customer Service again.. Rep CANNOT find my order with info provided! We discussed that the model year was listed as 2021 and that I needed to talk to the dealer again...
3/15/2022 Visit dealer again, get new printout and told to continue to be patient, yada yada, this is normal and told stories about how it could be worse, some people are still waiting since June of last year etc. Provided printout after asking 3 times for it.

3/16/2022 Call Ford Customer service again, this time they find my order!!.... and tell me it is still in processing!

If you made it this far, you are amazing..

I dont know WTF is going on.
-Is there a legitimate excuse my order has been in Processing for over 4 months?
-Did the dealer error on submitting my order and is now covering for it?..

I'm about to cancel and get my money back and say screw it..

I really don't know what to say. I ordered a 2022 XLT Tremor 12-27-21 and it was built last week and is waiting to be shipped to my dealership. Something wasn't done right. I'm not sure if it makes a big difference, but my dealer put a priority code of 10 on my order. I see yours is a 19.

I asked why the priority code changed from 17 to 19 and was told I wanted it to be 2, meaning Ford was going to build it... He didn't answer the question. Maybe he thinks I'm being a pita and lowered it?

Ordered my Lariat Tremor on 12/15/21. Got order confirmation 5 minutes lster. Into production 3/14,being built this Saturday.

I think your dealer is full of poop

Seems like a mess but I would return to the dealer and tell them you want to be priority 10. As because if this dealer is taking other orders for Rangers and placing them below the 19. They will likely get filled before your order. Priority 10 is the lowest for custom orders. Another thing to consider, you place your order back in early December. Ford did price increases after December 27th and if you ordered before then you got the last quarter's prices you got last quarters prices. I have a copy of this that went out to Ford dealers. It's underneath waiting for 22s. I posted it so people could use it at the dealers if they tried to do price increase and their orders were before December 27th. Hope this helps in some way good luck. Below 10 is Ford only not dealers.

My guess from reading order form is that it got entered on 03/15/22 and thats why Ford shows it still processing. I bet the original order got canceled and dealer never followed up on it. Also betting you get a email confirmation of order in the next day or two. Doesn’t look like Ford is the problem here.

I am going to assume the biggest issue with the order you signed on 12/29/21 was that it had model year 2021 on it. The ordering system is all automated and when it hit that it just kicked it out because it would be an impossible order to fill. This is clearly the dealer's fault for entering the wrong model year. The new 3/15/22 order is still processing, but if everything is done correctly you should get confirmation soon.

I ordered mine on 9/17/21 and was in processing until 12/18/21 when it was replaced for a '22 order and finally received my order confirmed email.

It was around first week of December when I found out the idiots at the dealer "accidentally" mistyped my email address which I had to go direct to ford support to resolve.

The post under yours is Granger Ford. I would canx my order w/ dealer you have tried to work with, and hit Granger up. I luv the Ranger, but Ford has some dealers that defy logic. IDK how they stay in business.

Like the others say, dealer submitted an order for a 2021 long after the deadline for that model year; their mistake caused the hangup. Now as to when Ford notified dealer that the order wouldn't be filled - you will never know. Dealer clearly placed the corrected order much later, probably on the date he printed the order preview - 3/15. If you can get a refund, you won't lose much time moving the order to another dealer that is hopefully more honest and competent. Granger was super easy to work with when I ordered my Explorer a few weeks ago and even though it's a 4 hour drive from me, the 3% below invoice more than covers the fuel.

Yup, another case of the dealer screwing up and FoMoCo's reputation taking a hit. An order for a 21 model year place in December would immediately be "balanced out". That status would show up to the dealer when he pulled it on 01DEC and again on 29DEC. Somebody wasn't paying attention. They finally discovered the error and placed a new order for a 22 model year on 15MAR, resetting the clock. You should expect delivery in June or July.

The "Time of Preview" is not evidence that the order was entered on 15MAR2022, but I can tell you that it definitely was. You'll just have to trust me... or not.

The sales code identifies the dealer. F74455 = Mike White Ford of Sandpoint LLC. The order code identifies your particular order and is chosen by the person entering it. For whatever reason, they chose to use the same code for your new order. I don't think it will affect it in any way.

I called the parent dealership and spoke to the sales manager and was told my order was confirmed by Ford Jan 6.

I don't know what to think anymore. I hate suspecting I've been lied to.
I have 2 scenarios where an error was made, and they are covering for it.
1. Ordered wrong color after multiple confirmations. Then re-ordered/corrected later the correct truck..
2. Order was kicked back by Ford for being a 2021 and dealer didn't catch it.

I called Ford again (4th time), told there was a change to one of the vehicles on that order on the 15th *surprise.. likely fixing the color of my truck* but non of the vehicles on that order have been issued a VIN yet.

Maybe Ford has this dealer way down their allocation list. Don't know............
I'm not a patient mushroom. There seems to be no real way for me to know what's really going on. I really want the truck.

Small update.
Visited the dealer April 14th, someone other than the sales manger looked up my order and noticed I didn't have an Email address in there. o_O wth. so he added it and amazingly I got my confirmation eamil from ford, and my order went from 'processing' to confirmed! I wonder if the reason my order was in processing for 106 days due to not having an Email address?

Ford says there are no holds on my order.

119 days and counting (Dec 29 - Apr 27th).
No VIN, NO build week.
I'm not blaming Ford here. It's apparent from other Tremor orders, persons who ordered Lariat Tremors after me should be taking delivery soon......
