North Texas - N of Dallas

Hey there Ranger owners!
I am a recent transplant to North Texas and I was wondering if anyone knew of any good camping/trailing areas up here? or within an hour to 2 from Dallas?

I have a little brother who bought a 2011 Ranger and we wanted to go run around a bit with my 5G ranger and his this summer.

Any help would be amazing! Thank you!

You might try Lake Broken Bow in SE Oklahoma. I believe there are some trials for 4-wheeling and there is definitely lots of camping. It’s about 2.5 hours from Dallas.

Try Barnwell Mountain out by Tyler. Don't know about the camping but some great off roading.

Near decater and alvord is part of the nart forest grass lands area. it has tons of camping spots. most of the camping is no niceties so just nature. lots of hiking trails and gravel roads.

There's an off-road park in Bridgeport.
