I’min the middle of nowhere right now and did not bring my manual. Intended to actually read it this his weekend and learn a few things. Hope no one minds the questions as the manual is 500 miles away.

1. Lane keeping. I know it can be turned off, set to just warn or set to warn and assist you getting back into the lane (think this is right). I have it set to both. All it does is bring the vehicle back into the lane. I don’t get any warning buzzer or nothing shakes. I can look at the display and the line I am going over turns gray. Is this the warning? I would think there would be more.

2 mirror blind spot detection. All I get is the illuminated light in the mirror. Seems there should be more. The last vehicle would buzz as well as light up in the mirror. Is the light in the mirror all the ranger does?

Thanks for the replies.

Here is my best answers:
  1. If the line turns gray that means the truck couldn't identify the lane - if it does and you go outside the lane boundaries it turns yellow (and optionally gently redirect you and you feel a slight shake/buzz in the steering wheel). If you are inside the lane boundaries both sides are green.
  2. As far as I know the only notification for blind spot detection is the light in the mirror.

On the display, the line I cross turns red & it feels like I'm running over rumble strips. Haven't felt the steering wheel shake. I've noticed that if the road markings
are faded or absent, the display will show gray lines & will not give that rumble strip feeling or turn red.
I get the yellow indicator light in the side mirrors for blind spot. No other warning that I've noticed.

Hi Tracy

I believe there is a setting for steering wheel shake, mild, normal and high, or something like that.
