Hey All
I came over from a current gen Nissan Frontier with the Utili-track system in the bed. One of the thing I miss most about my old truck. Could move cleats where ever you needed them, even the floor of the bed. Nissan had lots of compatible accessories and my Undercover tonneau cover attached to the tracks directly.

Does anyone know of an aftermarket system like this?

I'm coming over from a Frontier as well and found this post looking for the same solution. The truck bed in the Ranger doesn't seem to have sufficient mounting points to place a similar setup in the bed. Even the floor probably won't work. The ridges in the bed seem too close together. I didn't measure for accuracy but the Frontier's ridges are spaced further apart. I'll probably be fine with the existing tie down hooks, but I wanted to recreate the utili-track system.

I came from a frontier as well and found that the rails had the same dimensions as unistrut.

I'm an electrician so I work with the stuff all the time. 1 5/8" deep strut on the sides and 7/8 in the bed.

Obviously the frontier was built to have these fit in the bed and not stick up too high. I've been curious about ways that I could attach some deep strut to the bed sides.

Just had a thought... if its the same dimensions as Uni-strut, why not buy aluminum uni-strut??? I didn't even know that it existed until 30 seconds ago!

I would not recommend mounting the L-Track (O-Track, S-Track et al) in the bed. The sheet metal in the bed is likely to bend if you ratchet your load down with straps.

I actually saw a pickup yesterday with an aftermarket track system, and their truck bed was bent towards the front of the bed next to the cab. That's the damage I would envision happening to the Ranger. On the Frontier the Utili-Track system is made for the truck and is mounted solid. My $0.02.

True enough. Our bed was only reinforced at certain points. You mount any track anywhere else and it's a risk. I could get away with a track on my Colorado (it has 13 potential tie down points, iirc). That thing was meant to haul. The Rangers bed? Not so much. Cargo control wasn't much of a thought.

Guys, my Ranger here in Europe came with same utility track type of set up. So Ford does offer this, not sure if it is offered in US though, but this is something that can be checked with the closest dealership.

That is pretty much what is stopping me from mounting the strut.

Can you please take some detailed pictures of the inside of your bed, including up near the bed rails on the inside? Wondering if it's like our.

I looked at a photo on the UK Ford Website. Although these are what we are looking for I can't find a product like it:

Sure, I can do that, but that would be the day after tomorrow.

Sweet
But, it looks like the Euro Ranger has a different bed structure than US.
