I plan on getting new tires this spring for towing our new 18F 3500lb TT. The factory issued ones have plugs in them due to nails so I am going with a fresh set.
I have been on this site and have picked up quite a few ideas on what to get however I have a deal on a pair of Good Year TRAILMARK TIRES 18" P265/60R18 109T.
I see below the reference to weight the tire allows is under 3000lbs.
The load index number, 109, refers to the weight the tire can carry, in this case, 2271 lb. However, the load index is not a linear function (refer to the chart for common values).

My question to the crowd is are these tires good enough to tow a Travel Trailer?

Thanks for your input.

Goodyear Endurance are actually the trailer rated tire, and they are one of the better trailer tires currently available. Trailmark tires are designed for a different application than towing.

While the Trailmark tire you are considering is a good deal, a trailer service tire is a much better way to go.

A trailer service tire will carry more weight at a higher air pressure giving a much more stable ride than that of a standard passenger tire will.

By the time you add water, toys, and gear, you will be much happier/safer with a tire designed specifically for that task.

First of all sounds like some confusion going on here. Are you looking for tires for your truck or the trailer?

The Goodyear Endurance tires mentioned are trailer tires. I am assuming, always bad, that the Trailmark tires you are refering to are Goodyear Wrangler Trailmarks. Those are indeed truck tires. I have no experience with the Goodyear Wrangler Trailmarks so I can't give an opinion on them.

Just wanted to clear up what seemed to be some confusion.

I would get Goodyear Endurance Trailer tires. Higher PSI and load rating .... a much better tire than the prior Marathon Trailer tire ... I am also a fan of Maxxis

Thanks for the replies everyone. The set of tires I was looking at was on a auction site so limited time for research.
However due to the great amount of information and research already done on this site I went with the FALKEN WILDPEAK A/T3W
I am looking forward to pulling our Travel Trailer in all weather.

I can tell you Falkens JUST AINT CARE! They are good wearing, quiet riding, great in snow/ice, and great to air up and tow with. They are ready for anything. And they look great..
