BTW, cool kids have a tailgate damper. Be a part of the club.
I have a damper on mine. It helps when I'm loaded, and can't let the gate down with one hand. I hate to let the tailgate fall, but that may be just me. It doesn't help when putting the tailgate up. I'm part of the cool kids club.

?my ranger still has all the oem stuff for audio. its not awful but i wouldnt call it enjoyable so i keep it down most of the time. i do enjoy a good setup now and then still. i wanted the B&O system but they too pricey and selection of rangers was starting to get slim when i got mine.

Congrats... I don't have a damper, although I can see the benefit of having one.
So far my favorite accessory is my soft trifold tonneau cover. Mud flaps and arm rest tray I got from amazon were nice cheap mods too. Oh and husky floor liners.
No noise on the highway from mine, although I probably wouldn't notice cause my other car has the loudest roof rack ever.
