I actually loved my 64 Corvair Spider with 4 on the floor (just like this one). I installed a Quadrasonic 8 track in that car! NO ONE had a quad 8 track!

I used to go to the Florida City Speedway (there is a gold mine of great pictures on this site) to watch the TQs and Mini Stock cars (old video race).

Lots of cars including Mini Coopers, Anglias, Datsuns, Renaults, Simcas, VW (Beetles and Karmann Ghias), and Morris Minors ran on that track.

Many of the drivers were my friends dads, or my father's friends. Come Saturdays we were at the track. In the 1960's almost no one had roll cages, but by 1972 everyone had them.

I was 10 when this picture was taken. The parade went down Krome Ave in Homestead. The palm trees are gone, victims of Cat 5 Hurricane Andrew, but the Church is still there.
