For those that have put in an OBD II port splitter, where did you mount it and how did you mount it?

Depends on what your goal is. Most places simply move the original port back and put one end at the original spot. The other end is hidden and connected to whatever accessory you want it hooked up to. That said be aware that some accessories like the tuner boxes(Livernois My Touch Calibrator, Ford Performance ProCal4 and others) give scan tools problems when trying to communicate with the vehicle.

Based upon what Frenchy said I am going to pass on a OBD II port splitter. Ford techs will just have to unplug the power steps from the factory OBD II to connect their equipment since they could have issues using a port splitter connection.

Thanks for that info Frenchy.
