Mirror Glass & Puddle Light Remove and Replacement

I have a 2020 Ranger Lariat and need to replace the LH mirror glass and puddle lights. (have both on order - glass is way too expensive as you know)

1. How do I remove and replace the mirror glass? Have not been able to find anything on line or from my dealership rep.
2. How do I remove the mirror caps to get to the puddle lights. Have seen some information on this but need to be sure on how to do it so I don't damage them.

I believe there was a fellow here on the forums that worked for the mirror supplier. I vaguely recall pictures etc....might be worth a search here on the forums to see if any of his post might be helpful to you...

I was able to remove the mirror glass on the left outside mirror by placing a long bladed screwdriver behind the mirror at about the 7 o'clock position. There is a small channel on the plastic back side of the mirror that helps to align the shaft of the screw driver. You will feel the lip of the ring that holds the mirror to the base. Twist the screw driver and pull gently on the left upper part of the mirror and it will pull off the retaining side of the ring assembly. Remove any wires for heater and disconnect the BLESS cable if needed. To install new mirror, connect any wires and align the ring assembly with the base and push in gently until it bottoms our. Be sure to use a micro cloth so you do not scratch the mirror. The finish on today's mirrors is very soft and does not take much to scratch. Reason why I am replacing them. I use Pfieffer Ford Wholesale for my online orders.

As for the puddle lights, you just use a small bladed screwdriver to push in the one side of the clip and then once it is pulled down a bit use the screwdriver to push and release the other side. Disconnect wires (remember locations) and then replace. Use some electrical tape or shrink sleeve to cover any connections.
