The timeline looks like this:

Ordered: 12/18/18
In Production: 3/23/2019
Awaiting Shipment: 4/1/2019
In Transit: Est 16 days
Transit Details thanks to Pioneer74:
Loaded on a Train: 4/5/2019
In Cheyenne, WI 4/10/2019
In Oroville, CA 4/12/2019
In Milpitas, CA 4/15/2019

It sat in the Milpitas Rail Yard until 4/23 when it was delivered. For those of you not familiar with CA, Milpitas is just over 10 miles from Sunnyvale. One of the guys at the dealer who took me out back to see it (not yet prepped) said that the new trucking company is very slow compared to the one they used to use.

Anyway, tomorrow at 3pm my wife and i head there to buy it.

Got a call from the dealer, the mounting brackets for the tonneau cover were "damaged in shipment" so they can't install it today. I told him I still want to pay for it and pick it up today so I'll be doing that and then taking it back to have them install it at some point.

Yep, got to pick it up this afternoon, The guys at Sunnyvale Ford were great. Walked in, they handed me the keys to drive it around. Came back, all the paper work was ready, we talked to the Finance guy who did all the paper work, we signed it, wrote him a check and were ready to roll. My wife was there less than an hour. Ismael gave me a tour of the truck for about 20 minutes and then I drove it home. That was the best car buying experience that I've ever had. Of course the 4+ month wait was a bit long but I did get $2000 off for being patient so I guess it was worth it.

Now come all of the reasons you'll invent to go drive it. Sort of like when you were 16 and you would ask your mom if she needed anything from the grocery store. Enjoy it!

Yea, I looked at the fact that the dealer forgot to have us sign a form as a good reason to drive it. My wife was just miffed that we had to go back:).
