Picked up a 2020 Ranger on Saturday - it is Texas Truck Month after all. Had running boards, spray in bed liner, tow package and FX4 package. Had them throw in all weather mats and mud guards on top - OTD for 33K
Grandfather worked for a Ford dealership from 1946 to 1970, when he opened his own shop. I have previously owned a 93 F150 XL (300 I6/5 speed)
as well as a '09 F150 XLT crew cab.
True truck love goes back to the vehicles my father's family owned - Studebakers.
Currently own a 1962 Champ half ton. Studebaker V8 with three speed overdrive transmission and 4.27 dana rear. The narrow bed was an option in 1962 and someone checked that box. Was built in September of 1961, the 241st V8 for the model year.
And I am working on a 1962 six cylinder Champ that was the 30th six cylinder from the end of the production year. It is a short wheel base, wide box (Studebaker called them "spaceside" boxes) and has the 170 cu in OHV six Studebaker premiered in 1961.
Got a long way to go...
Thanks
