I ordered a set of General Grabber ATX LT265/70/R17 in load index E. I drove with them for about 3 weeks and I couldn’t stand them any longer. They were extremely heavy to the point that my lane keep assist couldn’t even pull my truck back into my lane on the highway, the truck felt very sluggish and they were a super harsh ride and I just got fed up. The one pro to them was that because of the stiffer sidewall, they actually handled around corners really well. Today though, I swapped them out for a set of General Grabber ATX in 265/70/R17 in load index P and so far... I love them. The cons are that they have 2/32 less tread and 1” less tread width and the sidewall will not hold up to rocks as well as the LT tire (although they are still 6ply), but thats where the cons end. The truck feels much more responsive again, the lane keep assist works no problem and they take bumps and rough terrain much, much better! It is a much better ride now. I am very impressed and I hope that this helps someone make a decision. If you’re not going up super rocky trails all the time, I would pick the P tire without a doubt!
