Had CQUARTZ put on my like-new 2020 Ranger in May, 2021. I’m noticing a blue tint color coming off with the expected amount of normal dust and dirt onto my yellow microfiber drying clothes (from Costo). Is anyone else seeing their CQuartz Ranger‘s color appear to be coming off with light dirt? I’ve put about ~5000 miles of only pavement driving on it since treatment. Wash it about every 3 weeks. I didn’t wash it with soap this time we had a lot rain and I was in a hurry, BUT I HAVE ALWAYS SEEN the blue tint with ALL previous proper soap and microfiber washed and dried sessions. You might not be able to see the blue tint in attached photo, but it’s there.

I had the same thing happen on my yellow microfiber rags although they did not come from Costco but I've had them for 10 years so I don't remember where they came from. The only thing is, I washed my truck through the car wash and I came home and I started using a waterless car wash on it and that's what was coming off on my rags, so I'm not so sure it's the CQuartz. It might be an underlying condition with the thin coats of paint and clear coats Ford is putting on these vehicles.
I thought it was dirt but now I'm not so sure. I just put a coat of turtle wax graphene on the hood and again I got the same thing on my rags. I also had what felt like pitting all over the hood before I waxed it. A car detailer friend of mine told me to use a grocery plastic bag with your hand in it to feel them because fingernails were really bad for the clearcoat. So I used the Claybar on it and took that all off before I waxed it. The funny thing is that vehicles been garage kept and we don't have acid rain here in Florida..

Thank you for response Delirious.
How long ago did you have the CQuartz treatment? Did you have a detail shop do it? They told me I don't need to put car wax on it, that it wouldn't make a difference. They also gave me waterless car wash, so apparently at least the one they gave me is okay to use, though I've not used it. It is hard to believe the Ford paint came through any CQuest, graphene-Silicon-dioxide treatment, or wax. Also, I would think that CQuartz would protect any Ford clearcoat, from a light touch with a fingernail.
The CQuartz should also eliminate the need to use a claybar, but apparently you got the "pits" off with it? What might react with the coating to create pits I wonder?
One prep pro told me that I was wasting my money if I was going to use car washers with brushes that touch the vehicle. I spent $2000 for CQuest on body and wheels; the detailer (DetailManiac in Sacramento, CA) had a lot of fabulous ratings from high-end sports and luxury car owners. Also had enough truck lovers to win me over. My whole idea was to save my hands which are getting arthritic.

Possibly the dirty blue could be just dirt as it looks on yellow microfiber. Did any of you Ranger owners with another color, say red or Saber, who used CQuest, get a tint of your body's color on light-colored washing or drying rags?

Oh I meant I don’t I’m not sure that its the CQUARTZ treatment because I didn’t use the CQuartz treatment. Since I had the same results you did without the CQuartz treatment was what I was implying. Put it away ask car detailer friend of mine about that tomorrow and I’ll get back with you.

are use the Claybar before waxing and yes I did get those pets off really easy. I use the chemical guys brand and it came with a good lotion or a good spray bottle of stuffing I had to make sure I just kept it wet and use it and streaks instead of circles and I did not scratch the paint. You paid a pretty penny for that stuff you used so I think you should go back and ask those guys about it for what they charged you. I don’t know if my guy knows what that is. I know he does the graphene but not the wax kind more like the permanent kind that should last like five years or something for about $1500 so he would’ve charged me half of that but since I bought the truck used and it already has scratches on it I figured why bother.
pets might’ve been the wrong word to use it might’ve been more like tiny little something that felt like maybe grains of salt everywhere one green at a time. I think my detail guy said something to the effect of this there still chemicals in the air that could react with the paint but why it was just on the hood and not on the roof or the sides.

Does it matter?
CarPro has 4 coatings so not clear which one is in question. The color is likely soap residue or something else on the surface. The coatings are clear out of the bottle and once cured will be a semi permanent bond to the surface. UV and abrasives will be the only way to degrade or remove. Usually environmental or residue from a product used will cause this. I would assume soap by looking at the towels.

I’ve used CQuartz on my vehicles for about the past 5 years.I apply it myself.
‘It is a very hard coating, and if you are getting anything off of your vehicle, chances are good it was some other form of overspray/film of crap.

After a good wash,I will wipe mine down with Carpro eraser. Some soaps leave a colored residue/wax that can build up on the surface.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I'm sorry it has taken so long to thank you.

(I'm having trouble replying more than once and also deleting what I've typed. I will try again.)

I'm not where I detail my truck, so I don't have access to the type of soap they gave me. I don't know if it a CarPro product. I know they didn't sell it and they told me to get more by going online. I also don't have the guarantee with me, so I will have to check it in hopes that it will say what CQuartz clear product they used.

I will also have to look more carefully at CarPro's site to figure out what coating the detailer gave me and what wash product to use. I didn't find CarPro's "Configurator" very useful. Of course I need to call the detailer too. They also gave me a "dry" wash product, I think it is a quick spot cleaning product. I've not used it.

What product do you use to wash your CQuartz coating?

I’m a big fan of Carpro. I have a little experience in detailing and did the coating on my truck myself.

I would try to stick with one product If you can. For wash I use Carpro Reset, it’s an amazing cleansing wash for coated vehicles.
