So I bought a Leer SR250 tonneau cover from Amazon. Installed it and it is NOT engineered properly. The side rails are about 2" too short. The front and rear part of the cover will NOT sit on top of either the front bed wall or the tailgate top-you have to split the difference because the rails are the same length as the inside dimensions of the bed. This causes the front and rear edge of the cover to sit just on inside edges of the bed front and rear, i.e. no sealing really. There is no seal at all on the tailgate end, only a small vinyl flap that lays inside the edge of the tailgate.
I have had 4 trucks and 5 covers in the past 20 years including two BakFlips and this one is the worst by far. I realize that no cover is waterproof, especially the soft ones but there are gaps in this thing that make it useless. I applied for a return and it was approved but the vendor is really cagey in whether he will refund my $400.
Anyone else have any experience with this model cover?
