I don't know how many hours I've spent comparing covers, but I narrowed it town to two. The Leer HF650M or the BAK MX 4. I really like the look and low profile of the BAK, but didn't care for the drain tubes, and the fact it rests on the cab when open.

Leer's 4 panels, no drain tubes and the upright storage when open got my attention. The kicker was the 20% discount from the vendor (ZORO) and 12% back from Capital One.

This will be my first bed cover, so I hope it was a good choice.

I really like mine. Even in the rain or at a carwash it's dry. Didn't like the idea of poking holes in the bed for drainage. I don't ever see wet in the back when exposed to the elements. Very stable and sturdy. Garaged for 2 years and still looks new. I liked the antitheft locking mechanism. Enjoy your purchase.

There is an extension that you can add to your browser for Capital One. When you are on a web site that partners with them, it will automatically pop up with the amount of cash back. It is free to set up the account. Not sure what it has to do with their credit card, but I don't have one.

I've used that browser extension for several years and have never heard a word from them.

i have the leer 350..hard fold...been very happy with it...the bed stays very dry... you should be happy with it

Can the tailgate be opened and closed with this cover down? I've seen that some of the cheaper BAK covers you have to open the cover every time you open the tailgate or you will damage the seal.

Everything I have read and all the videos I've watched indicate that you can open & close the tailgate without opening the cover.

Mine can be opened and closed with the cover down, no issue.
