Not sure of a make/model of truck that has not had a leaky third break light at one model year or another.
I had an F150 do that - water rolled down and rusted out the door sills behind the rear doors.

First I have heard of the Ranger doing it. Report your findings!

Pretty sure this one never had a a brake light leak water into the cab.

The seal on the light likely isn't stuck on "square" with the housing all the way around it. Just dealt with mine yesterday.

Mine starting leaking.. OF COURSE.. at 37k mIles, I have no willingness to do that dance with the goddamn dealer at the moment so I just gobbed some of ^^ this all around the mating surface of the seal and slapped it back on. MF'ers days of leaking are long gone now.
