The VMP-AM-FRGR-2019 from Larson Electronics is a Permanent Antenna Mounting Plate that allows operators to install up to four antennas on their 2019 Ford Ranger trucks without drilling any holes. This antenna mounting plate is ideal for law enforcement, DOT workers and anyone else who needs to easily mount an antenna but doesn't want to drill holes in their truck. This lightweight mounting plate allows operators to mount antennas on their trucks without drilling into the body of the truck itself. This mounting plate can support antenna arrays of up to 20 lbs. The VMP-AM-FRGR-2019 features four predrilled 1/2" holes for antenna mounting and is compatible with 2019 Ford Ranger trucks.

I like how they advertise Material:Aluminum, and then they show a picture of it holding a magnet mount :)

I use magnets because my antennas are all pretty tall, and stiff, so they are regularly whacking into stuff. I'd rather it just fall over than bust the roof, or break whatever unobtanium material the brake lights are made of.

I can make this for 10 dollars...sorry pass
yeah, I think it wouldn't be too hard to make work even with basic hand tools for metal. Definitely not 140$ worth, or 300$ like that Baja one.

I can literally make this tomorrow. And my light is actually off at the moment so I can take measurements cut, press, and powder coat it by end of week. Worth it?

I'll take one if you make it, let me know what you think the final cost would be. The baja one allows you to hide all the cables, but at this point I just want the magnet and wire off the roof (it's already scratched to crap).

EDIT: I could probably make one too, but it would look similar to the first iron man suit, and I'd like my truck to stay pretty even if it's dirty :)

So you want it in steel right? 1/8”?

I can make whatever I use the computer and sent in my stuff to a buddy at a machine shop with laser cutters and press breaks. Complexity isn’t really complex lol.

made these a few weeks ago, adjustable oil cooler extension and air to water intercooler pump bracket:

Steel for sure. I don't want it too heavy, so I'll defer to your judgement on thickness. Initially, I'm just looking to put a magnet mount on it, but later I'll want to through hole mount something.
