I prefer the molded plastic. The fact that they're the cheapest is a nice bonus.

Plastic will crack a lot faster in cold weather.

It's a good choice for those who live in tropical places...I presume.

I've had the plastic ones on my last two Super Duty's, including the one in my garage, and it's 4 degrees outside right now, definitely not tropical here (see my avatar). Never had one crack yet. Built Ford Tough :like:

Good to know your not having any troubles!

Unfortunately however my experience with plastic mud guards was not as positive.

I am open to reconsider, maybe things have changed. :D

They work quite well in snow and keep sand and gravel out of the wheel wells lived in Iowa 30 years.

I ordered my mudflaps from the Ford dealer I work at and got them next day. They look very nice and are very flexible. Now the 2 month wait for my truck...

I just picked up the ones beefstew has and unlike the ones in the video, they do require some drilling as per the instructions. IIRC its one hole per side rear and 3 front for a push type rivet in the plastic.

Is the Ford logo only on one side?

The front gets just as much debris as the back.
