Another one of those threads before you buy from a gucci company do your research. Yes the wait time to get something is much higher, but if you don't have money to just throw at instant gratification you can save a ton.

Tonight's example: Rooftop Cargo Cases 95L vs 110L vs 110L

They are all identical, or so close in reality they might as well be (slight variance in latches). Chances are likely they were all made from the same mold by some guy in China.

$369.00 (Smallest of the 3) (not a knock on S3M, they are just a reseller)

$346.00

$83.00

What is the lesson here? If you are willing to wait about 30 days for your package to arrive on a boat and probably smell slightly like fish for a few days while you air it out, you can order nearly 4 boxes for the price of 1 by cutting the middle-man out.

Yeah I wish they'd stop those silly protests over there so I could get more cheap shit too. Not.

I picked up some genuine Pelican 1620s for $75 each this week. Ex-ventilator cases that went out of style.

I always check from time to time for used stuff, but not much luck with finding anything that I am specifically looking for.

eBay's search algorithm is one of the most terrible ones I've encountered 99% of time returning a list of junk that doesn't go with what I typed.

Specifics yeah, I tend to just have a range of what I'm looking for and open to waiting. Sites like this one are cool too. I have been looking to pick up barstools for the garage for awhile, finally some guy told me of a local place that picks up furniture like old restaurant stuff. Actually a breakfast place is closing down now too and is clearing out I just remembered. The old saying "reduce reuse recycle" seems to have been forgotten despite all the green push.

As far as the ebay algorithm that just sounds like how internet 2.0 is. Search engines in general are terrible now. Try searching for information and I get product listings and reddit threads. Very frustrating.
