Over here wiping my glasses squinting like a fool. One hand over your eye works better. Don’t ask me how I learned that trick ?

Just a technical limitation on eyes. Our eyes are not like camera, but more like multi-camera system with one very high-resolution center camera having some mid-resolution cameras around it and the whole package covered with crappy resolution cameras around them.

So we have very tight FOV ultrahigh-resolution camera for identification and somewhat poor resolution cameras around it, bundled with fast but not accurate pattern recognition & tracking system (mainly prey, occasional hunter system). As whole, the big pattern is readily observed and halts the pattern recognition system after which the mid-level cameras still see the dots.. and that leads to tracking system to follow the dots. Your tracking system can handle aprox 3-8 targets (before combining the data to bigger blocks) so you see about that many dots, closing the other eye drops out the 3D processing and any eye miss alignment (size, rotation, plane, etc.) and gives your brain just bit more capacity to process the data.

Cheat in here is to move further away from the picture, so that the whole picture is within the hi-ress part of the eye, after which you will see all of the dots (or they become too small to be visible).

From the big picture I could see about 6 dots simultaneously. From the smaller picture about 8, and moving away from the monitor and looking at the small picture I can see them all.

And then you shoot or call artillery strike on them all.

Hi Phil,
If you like a hot backrest when you get in your truck then you are a true desert rat. Feels so good. Love the heat. :tumbleweed:
That's why I use my heated seats in the summer. It feels great against my back after working like a built in heating pad. ?

At least they use them there. I swear here in AZ no one knows what a blinker is. I'm guessing they pull the left stalk thinking it's the high beams. :sunglasses:
My parents live in Arizona, so one time when I was visiting I asked why there was the local aversion to using turn signals. My dad explained that blinker fluid has a really low boiling point, so it just evaporates away in the "dry heat" and the blinkers don't work anymore.
