I think it would be a hell of a day if a number of us got together and did some off-road stuff together.
I took a trip last year to Jericho MT to take the truck wheeling and had an absolute blast.
Jericho Mt. has the far northeast's only club maintained 4x4 trails on state land. There's miles of green trails, a few blue trails, a good bit of black and a few red sections.
When I went, I stuck on the green trails.. which are IMO pretty gnarly in spots for being green. I'm leveled 2.5" and have 32" tires and did just fine with a spotter in sections. Skid plates are NOT necessary on the green trails, nor are sliders, but I DID lightly scrape my frame on 2 occasions. They were gentle, controlled scrapes with no worry about hitting the body or drive train parts. Wheel rash occurred on 3 out of 4 lol. It was a low range affair for the entirety of our time in the woods.
I made a video with some footage of the trip after I got home.. but I put together another one.. cutting out some of the fluff and really highlighting the trickiest bits of trail I came across so folks can guage If they feel up to it or not. Even if you don't feel like wheeling your truck... I'm sure most people would be happy for you to ride along!
They open back up in May I believe... let's get something going! There are picnic areas on site so I'm sure we could grill up some sustenance at the end of the day.
