Still in development, schedule testing next week.
Any update on this? I'm in the market, but curious to compare against some of the other names out there.
Should have it next week for testing and I will post.
Development is taking a bit longer than anticipated.
Tune has been shipped for testing!
Can't wait to hear how it works!
Ready for testing......
FOLLOWING! My Buddy had a JB4 on his otherwise stock GolF R and it knocked off 1.1 seconds (that's Huge!) seconds in the 1/4 mile. One weekend we went, and my Fusion Sport beat him (I ran a 12.6). Two weekends after, we went to the tack and he ran a 12.1 @ 113. I'm excited to see how this works out for our Rangers!
Cant wait to see the result !
looking forward to see how this installs Looks like a lot of cables and wires...
Any plans to do some dyno runs before and after install?
It’s literally 3 connection. Super easy but extremely slow for me right now because it’s still in development.
Still working on the right connections.
I have not done any stock dyno runs but I will definitely try to do some after.
JB4 is the top piggy back tune in the VW world.
Owner is outside the USA but he is super supportive and was very active on the MK7 Golf VW Forum. One can plug and play or do data logs and modify tune and try higher levels. I did not run this but after 4 years on forum no report of dealer detection as long as you remove before going in. There is one option that you pull data cable through fire wall. If unit removed and cable left in place then dealer can find.
Only issues ever reported was when cables not fully plugged in.
Once hooked up you drive normal for 25 miles and then drive as you want. When removed the engine quickly goes back to normal.
I ran a similar unit before getting a tune and the impact is noticeable and worth the cost. JB4 has been on VW turbos for years.
George is the owner, highly respected.
OP be sure to let him know about the Ranger Forum. When ready he would likely post a thread he will then monitor for help needs.
