So far, the only two options I've seen out there to replace the intercooler piping are the aFe kit and the Mishimoto kit. Mountune offers new silicone connectors with their intercooler kit, but leaves the stock piping. As metal is prone to heat soak, I've always preferred to use silicone for my intercooler and intake piping. Are there any kits out there that are full silicone (with the necessary connection bungs) or primarily silicone? TIA.

Montune does offer silicone piping with the intercooler if you are that concerned. Most of the heat soak issue will be in the intercooler anyways so it really isnt anything to sweat.

Silicone only hoses for a modern turbp engine is a poor choice. Pushing 5-8psi might be ok but going over 20psi will cause swelling on just silicone hoses.

I love heat soak. I just mash the gas and enjoy all that glorious heat soak!

I've got the Mountune intercooler with their piping and only had a problem from not tightening the hose clamp enough when I first installed it. I blew a hose loose on wot the 1st day....... Once I got the clamps cranked down as tight as possible I haven't had any issues and it's been a great product.
