I have no record, 750-800 rating, but I am only 40 so I'm not getting the boomer discount yet.
Not sure where I sit then. No record also, 800+ FICO score...only 54? Don't quite get that discount either. And there is significant storm (hail) damage to vehicles where I live. Still a big discrepancy.

My insurance on a 2020 passport and 2019 ranger was $1800 a year (Safeco). Then I added a 2020 hr-v and my 16 year old daughter and it went up to $4800 a year(!). And that is with the good student discount. I considered buying a used car at first but my mom died last year and my sister and I inherited her house and split the proceeds from the sale so I got a new car for her. However, the difference in insurance cost between full coverage on a new car and just the minimum needed on a used car was only about $600 a year. She is a straight A student at a Catholic prep school and just an all around super kid so I know my mom would be happy that the money went to a reliable car for her.
