Hi Bryan,

Looks to me like a Mule for an advanced suspension for some truck application. We did this all the time to put a concept on a vehicle that was never intended for production, just to get an idea of the benefit. Could be a 2023 next model Ranger, but who knows. I would not be surprised if the next 6G Ranger has IRS... When the Explorer went IRS, we used both older Explorers and modified Rangers and the decision was this did not really benefit the Ranger.... Who knows. Cool pix! With the temp license plate, it indicates this was not intended to be on public roads for most of its life...

Best,

Those are definitely 5th gen Ram tail lights. I don't think this is a Ford project

I thought this looked familiar, looks like a FCA project. They were thinking new Dakota or more likely considering the recent unveiling probably their new Jeep Wagoneer.
I thought RAM too, not Ford

If that is a Ranger and not a Dakota prototype, it sure looks lower and the wheels in that photo remind me of the high performance handling package wheels on the Mustangs.

But I'm leaning more towards the Dakota. Ewwwww, is there any running gear in that rear end? I'm wondering if it's a FWD unibody like the Honda!
