I have been trawling the internet for weeks looking for help and this write up is absolutely amazing. Thank you very much.
I have a problem where the air is flowing out of all vents and I can’t change it. OBD2 error shows code B1086:11 “damper motor short to ground”.
Based on what you have shown me, I am presuming the mode door actuator is not working, and this looks like a mission to replace.
Do you have any thoughts on how else to fix this error? Could it be some wiring that is more easily accessible?
