TBH, I'm surprised that it took so long for these stupid things to become popular. I remember being on a family trip to Spain in the early '90's, seeing all of the bulls with the rings, and thinking that it would only be a matter of time before all the trendy girls getting the "snot dots" (those tiny little studs on the side of their nose that looked more like they hadn't properly wiped after using a Kleenex than anything else) would start doing this. I did not think that it would take 20-some years.
recently at the beaver hut (buccee's) i parked near the charging stations for the hamsters - oops i meant teslas... it was busy only parks open. i went in visited the restrooms got a drink, a beaver tail, and bag of beaver nuggets walked back out same folks still charging. pulled up to the pumps topped off the tank, only about half empty and drove out. same folks still at the charger. from a standpoint of time and impatience in general i dont see this method of charging making folks happy.
