Fax is still around because in some places a fax with a signature is considered a legal document whereas an email is not.
Funny.
When you sign an electronic document on a tablet screen using your finger, that drunken scribble is legally binding.

The fax joke is timely as we are dealing with faxing issues at work. We deal with a lot of medical facilities and county government agencies that still require signed forms and fax is the only approved method they use. Funny that we email a fax service that converts the email to a fax. Many of the agencies still have fax machines and we receive the faxes in email.
