your list is inaccurate. Gene Simmons of KISS scouted an signed Van Halen after they were a well established band. Speaking of Fleetwood Mac: RIP Christine McVie. Some of my favorite albums were Fleetwood Mac (and Van Halen).
Edit: KISS released their debut album in '74 an Van Halen came out in '78
