Much better than my neighbor to the south....like we live in a fish bowl.... and he gossips to other neighbors about what we are "doing"..... Who comes to visit...etc.

If you go to a non-light polluted location and look at the stars on clear night (e.g. still (as no wind) and below freezing winter night) you can actually see two galaxies on naked eye. Milky way and Andromeda :)
I've done that while in the navy. You go outside at night an at first you can't see your hand in front of your face. Then after your eyes adjust the view of the sky/stars is amazing. It's almost worth joining for....almost.

Back in the wireless telephone days I had a neighbor with a few scanners that would scan for the neighbors phone calls to listen.
