Back when movies were actually entertaining.

The last time I went to a movie and thought "Wow" was when I went to see Pacific Rim in IMAX.

They supposedly spent almost $200 million on this movie and you could see every dollar on the IMAX screen.

I can't think of anything since that left an impression on me.

And every trailer I've seen for movies coming out this summer have left a "Meh" impression so far.

I must be getting old and crotchety.

Or old and picky.

The last time I went to a movie theater was to watch 'The Last Samurai', in 2003.
Just can't take the loudness of movies now adays.

My favorite is when the kid opens his 37" screen smartphone to reply to a text.

Ford vs Ferrari was the most recent theater movie
for me. Before that, Mule; always enjoy a theater showing of a Clint Eastwood movie, but haven't seen Cry Macho yet.

Ford vs Ferrari is a great movie. Was considering going to see the new Mission Impossible movie but it’s almost three hours long.

Mule was interesting, but we watched it at home.
Clint is gettin' kinda old, isn't he?
We, on the other hand, can't possibly be getting old like he is. ?

Clint will be 95 years old on May 31st (1930),and still active in films. One story goes that, In a conversation with Toby Kieth, he was asked how he stays sharp and active. His response was, "I get up every morning and I go out. And I don't let the old man in." This inspired Kieth to write a song based on that, and he sent a demo to Eastwood, who put it in the film Mule.

Fun fact i just discovered, "Cousin" Clint and I are sort of related. He and I are descended from Governor William Bradford, Mayflower passenger and first elected governor of Massachusetts. We are 12th generation removed.
