Hood Struts

Been a lurking on the site since I placed my order in Oct. 2021. Just received my truck about 2 weeks ago. Had the hood proped open and notice they were ball joints on the hood for hood struts. Do other year Rangers have them?

What are you saying? Do you have props instead of struts?

Yep.
22's have prop rods.

Yes I have a hood prop, and no hood struts 2022 Ranger Tremor Lariat. Went to fill washer fluid cause the dealer didn't do the proper PDI I guess and noticed the joints on the hood, like the truck had them before.

Wow talk about getting ripped off...so if inflation and gas prices aren't bad enough...you pay more to get less? Let's see...

1. no rear folding headrest
2. no glove box damper
3. no PRNDS light
4. no console cubby
5. no hood damper

Yeah, I noticed on mine too when I took delivery last week.

At least the studs are still there; if you order the struts from an earlier year you can retro fit and not have to use the rod.

3. no PRNDS light
4. no console cubby
5. no hood damper

Cosmetic Engine Cover got deleted a while back.
Tailgate manual keyed lock got removed I think.

And still no tail gate damper! Lol. Not the end of the world but it still kinda sucks since they raised the price and are deleting things

No Ford owners manual cover.
No engine cover.

Wow - that's surprising that it's removed. As others have noted my '21 has them -- but if it didn't, I'd definitely buy them to add it, as it's quite nice.

Agree... I added the engine cover and would have certainly added the hood dampers if they were missing.

Maybe the Damper Moderator (Dave) had something to do with this?
