Ford L2 tune on the Tremor

Ordered my Tremor in January and it's finally in production so I'm looking into various mods. Has anyone done the level 2 performance tune, and how much effect on performance and mileage is there? And I remember hearing something about Ford saying to hold off on the tune if you tow until they tweak the tune a bit, has there been any further news about that?
