I wanted some diamond plate door sills so I gave it a shot. I went to Lowe’s and bought a 1 foot by 2 foot piece of polished diamond plate aluminum for $18. I cut it into 2.5 inch strips. I used a power sander/grinder to round front corners and hand sanded the edges so it is not sharp. I then used double stick tape to put them on. Looks like a good investment to me, we will see.

Nicely done. I use my stock bars to climb in and out of my truck so I haven't considered doing anything to the sills since they don't get touched.

For some dumb reason, probably laziness, my foot drags over it when I get in or out.
