So I attempted this install the other day... I bought the FOR 11CK harness for the radio so I didnt have to cut or splice into the stock wires. Wired everything up per the instruction Alpine sends with the amp. Since we don't have pre outs on factory radios I cut the RCA cable ends off (again as instructed by Alpine if you want to get speaker level signal instead of RCA) and I made sure the switches on the side of the amp were set up for what I was running. I did not run a remote wire since this amp has the auto sense technology. I ran the power wire straight to the battery with a 20amp inline fuse as instructed and for the ground I used an existing ground on the dash close to the glove box where I was mounting the amp.
SO I get all this done and go to test the sound and it sounds amazing and is VERY LOUD lol. Anywas I set all my gains and truned the bass, midrange and treble settings all the way down in the radio.
Now here's the part where my issue starts. I turn off the truck and get ready to start putting everything back together and I get a speaker pop when the truck does it shut off thing. And then another pop a few minutes later. Basically it was popping everytime I turned the truck off and not neccessarily when I turned it on although i think it did pop once when i turned it on. Is there some setting I need to turn off via Forscan in the BCM?? I just went ahead and unhooked everything because i was afraid of damaging my speakers with the pop.
Sorry for the long post but does anyone have a solution for this?
