Howdy Neighbor!Congrats. I'm from the Jackson area so we're neighbors almost hahah
Still waiting on my Ranger...Dealer said they were expecting anytime today - next Friday. Guess I'll see. I'm waiting on another color from yours but if I had known one was on the lot in Memphis I may would have got your truck before you snatched it up ?
Guess in the mean time I can go read up on Forscan myself. Only thing I can think of for now for me would be Bambi mode. Too bad the autostart/stop can't be turned off, at least I don't think.
Need to find what all it can and can't do.
Howdy...Did you venture to the fairground for Memphis in May BBQ?Howdy Neighbor!
The ASS can be turned off with a button on the center console. Not sure if it reactivates every time you restart though. And I THINK I saw an ASS option in Forscan, so you could disable it from there.
All I've done with Forscan is
- Adjust for tire size
- Bambi Mode
- add the Offroad Gauge screen, since mine is 2wd and didn't come with that active already.
I haven't been to BBQ fest in prob 6-7 years, since my wife and I were just dating. You've got to know people cooking/competing if you want to eat. Otherwise it's corndogs and funnel cakes. Pretty annoying way to have a "BBQ Festival" in my opinion. They could at least pay 4-5 BBQ vendors to setup and sell BBQ instead of competing.Howdy...Did you venture to the fairground for Memphis in May BBQ?
Yeah I know about the ASS button. I guess I should've been clearer...
It resets every time you crank the engine. There's not turn off and forget unless you buy the device or stick a nite light plug in the 110 outlet.
Wasn't sure about Forscan fixing it or not but I need to find a youtube video or tutorial here on how to use it.
Which one of the plugs did you purchase?
Mine will be 2WD also if it ever gets here. What's the offroad guage? Can you snap a pict if you have time or maybe a quick explanation
YEP! I was surprised that it worked. My driveway is an incline, thus the 1% showing.Awesome so it actually functions even on 2WD.
I'm really going to have to look into Forscan when I get mine.
Thanks ?
Two haul turns off ASS also as I understand itI haven't been to BBQ fest in prob 6-7 years, since my wife and I were just dating. You've got to know people cooking/competing if you want to eat. There's always Sport Mode, which disables ASS automatically.
I bought the $60-ish OBDII plug that auto-switches, it's the one recommented by Forscan.
Let me go get a picture, I'll post that in just a minute.
Wow the new baby grew fast ?I ended up paying for 4WheelParts to do all the install. And i did do the speedo adjustment myself. Much Easier than expected.
Late, but congratulations on the new little one!My leveling kit arrived yesterday, but we've been at the hospital having this new baby. Everyone's healthy and happy!!
I'll get the kit installed this weekend, then the tires hopefully next week and test the mileage. But reading more about Forscan, I do like the idea of tweaking some extra things like Bambi mode.
