I signed up recently to research the 5G ranger as a potential daily driver.
I'm considering a '20 or '21 Lariat SuperCrew 4x4. My last truck was a 2003 Sonoma ZR2.
I currently own a Roush supercharged 2012 Mustang GT and a 2019 Nautilus Reserve 2.7.

I also work for ford and can offer some insight on the repair side if the need should arise
Patrick,
I am concerned about the problems Ranger and F-150 owners start having with their tyranny's once they reach a certain mileage range. Do you know what Ford is doing or going to do to resolve these issues so the tyranny's can be fixed properly and permanently?

Thanks

Well members, it looks like my stay here was a short one. I did a factory order for a '24 Lariat this afternoon. 2.7 in Velocity blue with all the options.
Best regards and hoping everyone has a great ownership experience with their 5g Rangers!

Man, what a tease. You didn't even hear the opinion that the Ranger would be a terrible daily driver!

Actually, you don't mention your situation. Daily city driver, dirt roads, 1 mile or 100? No way to know, but I guess you'll find out. If I had to do a daily drive and had the choice I probably wouldn't choose a PU. But, if its a toss between a Ranger and a 350 super duty then I'd drive the Ranger.
