I am 6' tall and they seem to be in the way and I don't feel the truck is high enough to make use of them. I put steps on my jeep which has a 4" lift of 35's and the steps get in the way more often than not. 7 months out of the year we have snow on the ground so it seems like a great way to get my pants slushy every day.

That makes sense. I'm only 5'7" and I really don't need them but they help at times. Now my gf is only 5'0" and there's no way she's getting up in there without them.
