Stopped after work to shoot the LCR 22. Tried CCI standard velocity.....shot well but about 2 1/2" high. Aguila shot pretty well but the cases had trouble loading and ejecting. The Federal Punch was the most accurate and loaded/ejected great. Got 'er cleaned and loaded with Federal Punch!
i am surprised cci was not the best. normally its my go to for rimfire

Man next time I need to put the Gatling Gun on the hood of the ranger and get a pic. LOL
I saw a video of a guy an his dad that set up a full auto on the tailgate of a pick up (older ranger I believe) to shoot to the side at a target. The gun started jumping around an he ended up shooting the side of the bed full of holes.

CCI works really well in my Savage MK II.....Ruger MK IV.......Keltec P17........it worked well in the LCR but the Federal punch outshot it! Surprised me too! I'll still shoot the CCI in it but will just have to aim a bit low to get my hits where I want them!

Oops....

Actually the 9mm one would look better because it's bigger. My buddy owns them he is an retired B52 Pilot... Fun times. I own the HK stuff and the M11 and an M16... Looking for a Sten man this stuff went up to much. :(

:)
Yeah I got a bunch of machine guns too. Pictured: My machine guns

I'm really excited about this! I finished up that old Rohm RG31 Saturday Night Special revolver I was working on. Was it worth the effort or price? Probably not financially, but I had a good time doing it and I love the results. I'll keep it as an occasional range toy and it'll probably be relegated to bad-wildlife duty with CCI .38SP Shotshells.

I had previously fully disassembled this thing, lost an important spring, deep cleaned it, refinished the Zamak parts, and sourced new grips for it. This weekend I re-blued the cylinder and the screws, cleaned up the forcing cone on the barrel, and got it all reassembled. She's tight! And the action is timed nicely.

Follow-up on the LCR. Did some checking and found out the 38/357 front sights measure a bit taller than those on the 22LR/22WMR. Picked up a HiViz front sight for 38/357. 5 minutes and the sight was on. Stopped at the gun club after work today and tried out the same ammo. CCI, Armscor, Mini Mags and Federal Punch all shoot POA/POI. Shot at 7yds, 10yds and 15 yds......all hit POA/POI. At 15 yds can put all 8 rds on a 4" paper plate holding dead center.

As I said above I stopped at the gun club last night to sight in the LCR. What I forgot to add was someone had fun out there yesterday shooting 400rds of 9mm...........saw all the empty cases in the bucket so grabbed 'em........tumbled 'em all clean and shiny........just got done loading them and into an ammo can they went. 400rds and cost me $64 to load 'em.......I can handle that!

CCI SV groups great in my MKII BTV thumb hole. 5 shot - 0.44”@50 yards with shaky hands at the helm. The SK Ammo stuff did that well at 100 ….but didn’t have time to shoot and see how repeatable the 100 yards shots were. I really need to shoot more often.

Two steps forward, a billion steps backward!
I've been working on this old German-made .22LR SA from the '50s or '60s for fun. I bought it for $34, and it was missing some parts. Apparently, not all guns made with the same model number are the same! ? But it's coming along a little and costing, probably more money than it's actually worth.

So far I've disassembled it, and cleaned it in the ultrasonic cleaner.

Once it was all clean, I wiped down everything with oil, and I've been refinishing parts as I work through the pistol.

Before & After!

I've been throwing used parts at this thing, but I've ordered a new hammer and a new "bolt" to hopefully fix the timing issues I've been experiencing with the old, worn-out parts I've been using. Once I get everything working properly, I will strip and re-blue the barrel and cylinder before final reassembly!

I don’t have too many pics handy on my phone. This was my latest whim. 4.5” 10mm with the Holosun HE507c x2 2moa greendot. I have the same optic on my TX22 Competition. Love the “shake to wake” and auto sleep feature.
