Yyeah, stock trigger is terrible. This upgrade is great! Mine is the 22/45 Tactical. Got a TB suppressor on it and Federal AE suppressor ammo is pretty accurate. Can hit 4 inch plates at 50yds.
Yeah mine doesn't do that, really the least accurate pistol I own, with the exception of old handmedown Beretta that keyholes lol. Might get an integrated suppressed upper like Tacsol since it comes with a new barrel too.

That surprises me. The Rugers shoot pretty accurate. Wonder if one of Dave's dampers wud help it. Lol I've seen those Tacsols. Pretty cool. I'd like to own one of Volquartzens pistols/rifles but man are they pricey!

Yeah I like my other Rugers even this one despite the accuracy issues. Actually I just bought an LCP II that I was posting about before. Price finally dropped back down since the LCP Max is the new thing.

Anyone take a long gun with them on a road trip or 4 wheeling camping etc? A friend and i went exploring a few weeks ago and i heard some rustling in the brush and woods. It was a pack of hogs- not the lil native texas ones the big ol mean invasive hyrbids. Luckily they went another way. But ive seen some really rip into folks. It made me wish i had something with some authority with me instead of a lil snake seasoner. Im worried if i have a long gun with me and get pulled over cops will say im a wacko or planning some shooting spree or some crazy stuff. The media had made so many people think if a person has a gun they must be manson... i dont wanna end up in heat for something im not guilty of.

LCP II in .22? Got one too.......mine fires subsonics, federal blue box, winchester no problems. Loves Mini-mags and Aguila. Mine shoots a bit high and right with all ammo. Had heard others having problems with theirs running ammo.......I lube the top hood of the slide, sides since these have wear marks from the barrel chamber and lube that barrel. No hiccups. I took out the mag safety.......also took down the safety lever since when I racked the slide I'd set the safety on......fixed that problem.

Media is biased against firearms and their owners......Nothing new there......a good ol' 12 gauge with buckshot would do the trick.

Do you all have any recommendations on a modest gunsmithing tool kit?
Lots of them on Amazon, but I don't know where to start. Currently I've nothing but my cleaning gear, and some of that is kind of suspect...

But I would like some actual tools...punches and screwdrivers and stuff that are appropriate for minor things on my weapons.

Thanks...

I do alot of work on my guns with a simple Glock push pin tool. Every now and then a small allen wrench........small flathead screwdriver........needlenose pliers.........I installed my Volquartzen trigger kit last night with my Glock tool, needlenose pliers and small allen.

I got the .380 version and Underwood Xtreme defenders to go with it. Should be a good pocket gun that'll fill a gap in the carry routine. It was going for $300 forever and finally dropped to $250 today.

Good buy! Are you able to get 380 ammo? None around here for months now......Hornady sitting 20 miles north of us and can't get ammo! LOL

I carry my trusty Mossberg Shockwave when I'm going out into the desert or into unfamiliar areas.

Look into the laws of the state you are traveling too, and you might want to look at the laws for the states you are traveling through as well. I travel all over the country with firearms in a locked Decked system under a locked DiamondBackHD bed cover and with a locked tailgate. If any firearm was loaded (they almost never are), there are states where I would need to unload it and store the magazines in another compartment or container. Things within the cab get even trickier and the Firearms Safe Transport laws only protect you so much. Additionally, you may be fine to travel with a loaded shotgun in the bed of your truck, but end up in trouble for having the right TYPE of pocket knife in some states. A buddy was warned about that in Minnesota when he had an OTF knife out......no issue with the VEPR shotgun with 20 rd mags or the AR15 with 60rd drum, but can't have that knife there. <--- Dumb right?

I have the same on mine and it's so much better. Flappy trigger on the stock one is terrible. Although my gun (22/45 model) has never been very accurate, even after adding a red dot. ?‍♂
I'm surprised to hear that, mine is actually really nice. I thought about doing the trigger and still might but it shoots pretty good for now.

Of course I had to get one that matched my Ranger. ?
