That's how it was for me too back in MA. I was on the border of CT and had a lot of jobs over there and on weekends when I was out doing estimates I would get to CT and have to hide mine in the truck. It's just habit because I'm always carrying and I'd forget in the mornings and have it on me but I did get a CT CCW. They really need a national CCW,this whole permit thing is BS anyway.

When I lived in NJ a couple of years ago, you had to put the gun in the trunk or back of an SUV with ammo in front when going to a range or gun repair.
Carry in NJ is just about impossible to obtain.

The whole NFA should be done away with! It's just a money grab and a deterrent because of the tax stamp and the long wait. I swear there's one 400lb donut eating slob sitting there taking one application a day for the NFA items. Why not just have it like a gun purchase? You have a CCW so you've already been processed through the system and just call in the serial number to the BATF and get approved instantly. Email a temporary tax stamp until the original is processed and mailed out.:headbang:
Where my buddy lives in PA, that's how it is. Pass the initial gun purchase check and you can get a carry.

No stand your ground in SC. We have the Castle Doctrine. I'd rather have the stand your ground.
Castle doctrine laws do not require a duty to retreat from the home, and stand your ground laws do not require a duty to retreat from public places. If your state has adopted the castle doctrine and you catch a home intruder, you can run away or stand and fight. The choice is yours. in public, you have to retreat if possible

Both doctrines protect you in your home it's only the stand-your-ground doctrine that protects you in public which should be concerning with a CCW

Received my double pistol case today from Savior. I have a couple of their double rifle bags and they are great quality and have held up with all that I stuff into them. The bottom is all velcro so you can arrange the fasteners anywhere you want to fit different size pistols. It holds 10 mags, suppressor holder and also has a small pouch in the front for a cleaning kit or small tools. @Snorebaby the COO might approve this,it's only $22.00. :giggle:

Hmmmm....I might just have to check that out. I have a single carrier that came with her P938. I have my range bag for the ammo/ear muffs/extra mags. After that it is rather full. Gotta write a PO for the case. Hopefully it will get approved

Interesting. I bought one from Amazon and its too heavy with all my junk. Gonna have to find a 16" bag thats a tad more structured.

Interesting. I bought this one from Amazon

I have something similar to that one I bought years ago from Midway USA. Problem is it's already loaded with stuff like headsets, stapler, cleaning kit,mag loaders and tools if I put 2 pistols and mags in there I'd need a dolly to carry it around. lol I just wanted something small and simple to carry a couple pistols and their mags. The side zippers have a hole to place a small lock too so for the states that you need your pistols in a locked container.

I swear range day is like we're going camping for a week! My truck bed is loaded up front to back with the steel targets, target stands, ammo boxes, range bags and shooting bench never mind the back seat with all the rifle bags and of course food.

I wanted a bag to carry all things guns I want to store cleaning kits and a couple hundred rounds of ammunition. Springfield 911 and the M&P Shield. My wife carries an S&W 38 snub she has her own range bag. I didn't want to get one quite as long as a standard duffel bag. I ordered a smaller bag and send it back as I couldn't get everything in it. The new bag should come today. I will open it up and take pictures as you did for those who might want to Look at alternatives.

LOL!
Dave, I ordered a 16" Orca bag off Amazon last night for the same reason. Two pistols (one on which I carry) and what's needed should be fine in the 16" range bag., I too was lugging a 22: M&P bag around with 3/4 pistols, ammo etc.. Just too much stuff and weight.

Which one did you get? I ended up buying a 22 inch bag should be here today I'm going to put some pictures up here in case anyone's interested in a little bit larger bag without getting a big one that you had
My S&W bag that was $60 on sale when I bought it last Sept. It's a 22" bag which is the same size as the one you just bought. It's way too big to lug to the range, IMO. My wife has her own bag now for her Shield EZ 380, ammo, etc.,

I saw great youtube and read great Amazon reviews on the Orca.

I ended up buying this one I can carry two guns and 8 clips. I'll carry it inside the laundry bag if I carry a lot of ammo that goes beyond the clips https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BDW1VCY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

One of the reasons I like the larger bag is because I want to keep all the gun stuff in one place. Especially here at home

That's a bag we got with a free range kit when we bought the Shield 380 EZ .At the time, I didn't like it and gave it away but I had 4 pistols.
I'm looking forward to getting the Orca bag tomorrow.

I keep all my cleaning stuff home in a box, I just carry a small Ballistol spray and microfiber cloth in my range bag.

I keep my cleaning stuff separate also. My range bag is a Bulldog. At work tonight but will post pics of it tomorrow. I can put 1 gun in it other than what I have on me with all the stuff it stays packed with.

I had that S&W bag along with 3 others saved in my favorites but decided to go with the Savior because of it's size and having several of their rifle bags the quality is excellent and they have a lifetime warrantee. All my rifle bags have multiple pockets for mags and my main range bag is stuffed. Sometimes when we go I just want to shoot pistol so I can now just grab my main bag and this one and not forget anything.

I leave my main cleaning kit at home but carry bore snakes for every caliber along with Ballistrol (this stuff is great) and a couple microfiber gun cloths.

Yeah I'm thinking about that too I'm going to send it back and get something smaller. I put everything I could in there and it is still real floppy (and heavy) to carry I'm going to go to Bass Pro tomorrow so I can get an idea what different sizes are and then see if Amazon's got the bag that I want.
