I haul my 700lb wheeler around In the back of my screw with no issues. Where the back tires rest is on the forward 1/3 of the gate.

Ford says the gate has a 400lb weight limit.

I'm assuming that figure Is for 400lbs dead center on the very edge.. so I'd have no worries even If my wheeler weighed 800lbs+

#400 is most likely static loading. Hit a bump and the loading will multiply. I've seen 3 tailgates fail as in the pic. Everything's fine 'till it ain't :)
