I had the Ford Calibration Kit installed in Omaha, NE but live in Lincoln, NE. I have not needed service yet as I just purchased my 21 Ranger in June and don't have the miles yet to require one. I saw a response to a thread about a month ago about what to tell the mechanic not to do during service and made a mental note, but forgot what it was. The dealers in Lincoln have never heard of the kit so am a little leery of what they might screw up. A basic oil change wouldn't cause a problem, but they probably hook it up to a diagnostic computer and wouldn't know what they are looking at. Anyone know or remember what I should tell an uninformed mechanic? Do I need to provide them with plug in module or is that just for any later updates?

I have the same question - my appointment to have the M-RANGER-FP2 installed is on 3/15. Want to make sure the tune gets done right (and I get access to modify / Ford Performance account code /etc.)

It's the ford performance tune that have and you want to inform that you have it and not to flash over it unless they are capable of doing an update to it. But it's probably not needed if everything is going well.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
I bought a 'Do Not Flash' OBD2 port cover, and made sure the FPP Tune sticker was front and center on the engine fan cover, hopfully this will remind him not to flash if I forget to tell them.

I think you can create an account prior then log in to it when you get there so its registered to you. Or just call ahead and ask.
