Ok, a little hype never hurt anyone, but a member of a group I'm in on Facebook posted about his 5th Gen being hit by lightning. He's having many electrical issues but the interesting part is the paint damage to the truck itself

I don't think he showed that, but it went into the garage and fried some wiring in the house, too.

I have never seen lightning hit a civilian vehicle before. I'm sure it happens a lot I just never seen it. I have seen multiple military trucks hit by lightning and did a big number on the electric system, one even caught fire. Luckily I'm to was a cargo truck and not the fuel truck parked two spots over. Hopefully you are still under warranty. Get it looked at quick.

Not my truck. He's already said it did a number on the electronics. He wanted to know about fixing the paint, but the big debate has been whether to keep it or total it
