Ford performance Grille

Well I recently joined the club! On my third grille . As much as I loved my original Raptor grille “still have a soft spot for it”. When this one came out it grew on me and I also like the Oem’ish look this one has with the Ranger in the surround so I went for it. I had the surround and ford portion painted to match like my last grille and went with light kit as well. I really like the way it turned out.

I had a slight incident yesterday and need a new grill (among other parts)

I have the "raptor style grill" from @Stage3Motorsports with the three LED light insert. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like that style grill is available right now so I am interested in the Ford Performance Grill.

My question- Has anyone tried using the 3 light LED kit with this newer grill? From the pictures it looks like there may be some vertical pieces of plastic that might interfere with the center light... For some reason the four light kit just looks a bit weird to me and, since I already have the 3 light kit, it would be nice to save a little money by reusing it.

Anyone who has the Ford Performance Grill care to weigh in?

You can see on the backside of the FP grill there a molded support dead center of the the grill which would keep you from being able to mount a center light, without modificaiton the existing 3 light setup is certainly not a great choice hence the creation of the 4 light kit specifically for the new grille.

Do you know why the Lariat 4 light raptor kit isn’t compatible with the Ford Performance grill?

I was kicking around the idea of trying out the FP grill, but hate to to replace my Lariat raptor style lights on top of the grill too. They sure look compatible!

I can measure mine as far as mount points and light spacing if it helps ...
I'd make it work somehow though...

I went from raptor grille with lights to performance grille with lights and they were not interchangeable. I’m guessing yours won’t fit either.

There’s a Members Marketplace at the bottom of the forum. You could always post and sell them to recoup some of your money. Just my .02

I try to space stuff out so will let it spin in my mind for a while.

There is a difference in spacing between XL/XLT 3 light kit mount as well. Close to 1/4” I tried using a spacer to close the gap but ran out of threads on the screws. Plus the center light is blocked by the FP grill anyway.
