I like the Scorpions post comparing the strawberry oatmeal ingredients, US vs UK markets. The US version contains zero ingredients from strawberries, some artificial strawberry flavoring and the only fruit is apple pieces. Both versions contain sugar, at least it doeasn't appear to be high fructose corn syrup which numerous studies have shown when ingested in large quantities causes health issues such as insulin resistance , fatty liver disease, etc. Most soft drinks use fructose. And I am amused nowadays the products that tout they use "real fruit" or "real chocolate" . My wife worked for 25 yrs as a CDI (certified diabetes educator) and somewhere in her last ten years she said they had to order new weight scales that went to 400 lbs to accomodate the increase in morbidly obese clients. And the recent increase in colorectal cancer at earlier ages is directly attributed to diet - the consumption of so called "ultra processed foods" which comprise nearly 60% of the typical american diet, some demographic groups over 70% and yes those groups have shown correspondingly high colorectal cancer rates. Time for a midday poutine snack, washed down with a 32oz slug of mountain dew.
Your last line says it all!

I have a dear friend my age. Had colorectal cancer and now uses a Colostomy bag. She is broken and I think a little ashamed. She was my first teenage sweet heart. I tell her she shouldn't be, that she is the same sweet youg woman I knew back then... she smiled, but it falls on deaf ears.

Life can be hard, but even the hard times are worth living. And she is the same person I knew all those years ago.

We were at a craft fair this morning and was talking with a lady who sells jewelry. Well Annie was mostly and not sure how they got on the subject but the lady told her that her daughter (who's in her 30's) is going through colorectal cancer right now. I overheard them and asked how's her diet because I've heard this being a problem with younger people now and I'm guessing it's from eating a lot of fast food. She did confirm her daughter eats out a lot and never thought about that. It's bad enough that regular food is poisoning us but these fast food places are using the cheapest ingredients and additives they can.

I 100% believe it's our food here making them sick. Just look up US food vs other countries and see how much different ours is. This is one of many out there showing the differences. More proof that big pharma pays off everyone from the FDA,CDC and our crooked politicians for profit!🤬

https://foodbabe.com/food-in-america-compared-to-the-u-k-why-is-it-so-different/

Most of these ingredients are known to cause cancer and guess who's going to profit from that:question:

I haven't eaten bread in years and only buy these wraps for lunch. They're zero net carbs and much better than bread.

I said years ago that big pharmaceutical was running (and ruining) the country and people laughed. I may not be the brightest bulb in the string or the sharpest tool in the shed but you don’t need to be brilliant to know that healthy people don’t make money….. Look at some of those CEO salaries.

BYD inching closer to the US:

https://www.goodcarbadcar.net/china...as-door-byd-and-geely-bid-for-a-mexico-plant/

The Crossing Point: BYD Passes Ford

Five years ago, Ford sold roughly five cars for every one BYD put on the road. That ratio collapsed. BYD sold 4.6 million vehicles globally in 2025, passing Ford's 4.4 million for the first time. The headline is the crossover. The real story is the velocity: BYD went from niche battery maker to global sixth-place OEM in a timeframe that traditional product planning cycles can barely accommodate. With 1.3 million overseas units targeted for 2026 and a bid in for a Mexican plant, Ford's North American fortress is the only thing keeping this from being a rout.
