Colorado is at fault for accidents. It’s better if you’re a good driver because lower rates. Both of mine with full coverage is like 430.00 every 6 months.
by both of mine do you mean 2 vehicles ? if so what company gives you that rate - I have progressive and my renewal is going up - no surprise.

UPDATE: After filing dual claims (one through Progressive for help settling it, and one through Loya for repairs) I got a call this morning from Hannah at Progressive saying Loya has accepted 100% liability and will be in touch within a week for either repairs or cash. I can't even book an ESTIMATE until after July 4th! I'm gonna price the right bumperette, top and bottom plastic, and call it good. Sensors are fine, it just mushed the bumperette forward and broke a lot of the tabs on the plastic. That top plastic has to come off to get to a couple of the bolts, and I can't get some of those tabs without breaking them. Helluva lot easier to just destroy it while removing it. I still don't even have the police report, but I'm sure they do.

The rear frame rails are a designed crumple zone. I wouldn't settle on a dollar amount until you get an estimate.

When an adjuster does look at it mention the frame and having it checked for twist or crumple. That can easily be overlooked if visual damage looks minor

Hey I have progressive and they raised mine too BUT I called them and told them I hardly drive the truck and some other blah blahs and they REALLY brought it back down. Like I'm paying even less than I was before, though I did change my deductible to a higher amount. I'd recommend calling them and asking for a policy review. I had a whole thread about it on here.

Yes, I know where and what you’re saying, and everything is straight. It’s literally the right bumperette that got pushed in like 1/4”, and it didn't even hit the right fender. Even the bumper brackets are straight. He hit the tow hitch mostly, and the plastic on the bottom broke the tabs. I had a friend of mine who does body work and insurance estimates check it out yesterday too. All told, with paint, parts, and labor, it's $1570.98 from his shop. I could do the entire bumper for $1100-something but still have to paint it, and pull the hitch going that route. Getting it into a body shop is next to impossible at the moment due to parts, lack of workers, and backlog. Since I'm keeping that truck for good, I'll take the cash and fix it when things settle down.

Update! After getting it inspected a while ago, I bought the bumper step pad and lower plastic from American Trucks and it was delivered 3 days later via FedEx who surprisingly was 3 days earlier than I wanted it. I'd tried to get the bumper step pad off and reuse it, but those plastic tabs just break right off, and many are hidden by the trailer hitch, so I decided to rip it off when the new one got here..

Under the step pad are 4 Allen wrench bolts that hold the bumperette on. It is mounted to two super flimsy brackets that are welded to the frame. Once I had the bumperette off, I was able to check the weld for any cracks, or evidence of damage to the brackets themselves. There was zero, so I literally used a small set of pliers to grab hold of the bracket, and brought it back to level. It's flimsy enough, I probably could have used my bare hands as they are only for supporting the bumperette I took off 4 small bolts that hold the lower plastic, replaced it, remounted the bumperette, and slapped on the new step pad.

Hardest part was getting the 7 pin trailer connector and the spare wheel lock off. Once the clip comes off the spare wheel lock, the cylinder wants to push out and has a large o-ring sleeve on it to keep moisture out. My neighbor held it together and smushed it while I got the snap ring back on it.

Total time: 2hrs.
Insurance Check: $970.00 (with whatever else it took to repair if a body shop did it)
Cost of Parts: $168.00 and all of my leftover beer to my neighbor who stayed and watched.

I get that the bumper is designed to crumple, but a well aimed basketball could do what damage was done. I'm really glad the 4Runner hit the trailer receiver first or my truck would have needed a bed. I feel bad for anyone who gets rear-ended and doesn't have the tow package. The two brackets I'm talking about that I bent back are maybe 1/16" thick metal and merely support the bumperette. The "skeleton" that all the pretty stuff mounts to appears to be the actual bumper, and it was unscathed. Everything lined up perfectly once I tweaked those 2 supporting brackets back into position. There are a LOT of parts under there.
