Cool idea with the tailgate shock, I'll be curious how well it works.

-I get Husky liners on Wednesday
-Picked up tailgate bike pad over weekend. Yakima Gatekeeper ordered from REI, which as it turns out is different from the Yakima pad Ford sells. I think the rear camera window is lower on the Ford one, mine is too small so I will have to cut away some of the pad so I can use it without blocking the camera.
-Installed 3M Polyurethane tape on door sills, near tailgate handle and a few other places that are prone to scratches.

Just ordered a tailgate shock from Amazon.
Appears to be the same setup as the links posted elsewhere but this part is Stateside next day delivery!
Will confirm fitment when I get it.
So this is a No Go. I probably could have made it work but the quality was complete crap. Going to try another supplier And report back. Will remove my link above.

My first accessory I bought was the Ford cargo net. Today I ordered my second accessory - a hard, tri folding tonneu cover. Now all I need is the truck..

Yeah, I figured out last week none of the export versions for the tailgate assist is compatible. The Ford reps at the car show said it was the same and they are not.

I'm thinking of a hood deflector. This morning was the first morning with some snow and rain and I've noticed a lot of splash from the hood to the windshield at certain speeds. It's like it funnels it or something. A hood deflector usually helps.

. This is the Ford hood deflector , the raised up type , not the aeroskin .. and it looks really good on the truck and works very well

Did you install the hood deflector yourself?
