In my other post I mentioned i trade in my Ranger for a Raptor.

Thought i would give it a final review. 21 Ranger xlt 4x4. It's been a pretty good truck. I've done 4 long road trips with. Not once did my butt hurt. Seats are comfortable

I had to replace the battery twice though. Second time was a little premature but I upgraded to H7. I did have the livernois tune and really enjoyed. I did however stopped using it around 45k because of the known transmission issues with 1080r. I didn't want them to blame it if I ended up having issues. They probably still could had but wanted to lessen the chances.

I did have rear differential carrier that got worn and had itreplaced. Then they might have messed it up because they had to replace the half shaft axle. It was leaking after the first repair. Then it was fine till 74k. I think my front was worn because I could hear the noise again. Rather than waiting another 2 months to get it fixed, I decided to upgrade. Tbh, when I bought my 21, I was looking for a tremor or lariat but they were hard to find without mark ups. So the one I got was pretty good.

Suspension was decent but very bouncy at times. Came close to replacing it but decided to wait.

On my last road trip last September. Took the dogs to Oklahoma. Truck did really and the dogs were comfortable. The dogs recognize it as there safe place too. I got to my brother's and my dogs escaped the harness and ran back to the truck.
Overall i was pretty happy with it. Now that I traded it in, it's listed on the dealer website. I trade for 18k and they are trying to sell it for 28k. I thought about taking off the tonneau-covers but I figured i could make the next owner happy. I doubt they fixed the noise that I was hearing though. You can hear it after going 35 to 60 mph and letting off the gas.

Now that I have my Raptor I don't miss it except maybe the color.

Here is the dealer link.

Here's hoping the RR treats you just as well!

It is a really comfortable truck to drive for long distances. I took both my Rangers on 5,000 mile trips and not once did either of us feel cramped or uncomfortable. Maybe because we're smaller (5'7"/5') and there's plenty of leg room for us. Unlike my Tacoma where it was back breaking after 30 minutes of driving and so bad I had rented a car for our trip to Durango, Co in 2019. That's when I came home and traded it in a week later for my '19 Ranger. lol

I agree the suspension (Fx4) is garbage and was the only thing I needed to replace on mine and the Eibach were a significant improvement to say the least.

Mine weren't even the fx4, just the basic 4x4.

Thought about getting frontier but the tech hasn't been updated. People are saying the cameras aren't good quality. It didn't really seem like an upgrade. Thought about the new tacoma but there's to many different options and the back seat being smaller sucks too. Overall I just like how the ranger drives and how comfortable it is.

I'd say within the next 2 weeks I'll be in something new.
Most likely a Colorado this go around.

No complaints with the ranger at all. Couple long trips as well, Minnesota and Vermont. My gal is in the travel medical field and I went to both states to visit.

I don't hold any allegiance to a brand, Chevy looks to have the best deals right now and I like the look of the trail boss.
Funny thing, there is a dealer that has the same exact 26 ranger I spec'd out on the ford site. Plain Jane 4wd with the trailer package and black package. Might see what kind of deal we can swing. But, I'm 99% sure I'll be getting the trail boss.
