As I am approaching a year in service and 12k miles I am strongly considering getting the Ford ESP PremiumCare from Flood Ford. I’m planning to do 8 years/120k/$100 deductible. I generally keep cars for about 8 years so this is about right for my needs.

My one concern is the $100 deductible part of it. Has anyone had any issues where Ford tries to hit you with $100 per issue vs warranty visit? My understanding from the FAQ on Flood website is it is a per visit, not issue, deductible. Any other insight on Ford ESP would be greatly appreciated. I’m operating under the assumption over 8 years I’ll have about 3-4 times something breaks the will be beyond my skill set (very low for cars) or cost more than $100 to fix myself.

I did this also, and was told $100 per visit, no matter how many issues. But, you may need to verify with your dealership....

If I'm understanding the question correctly, I think the concern is that if you have to bring the truck in 3 times for the same issue (they didn't fix it correctly), then you would be out $300, not $100. If that is true, that almost sounds like a dis-incentive to fix it right the first time. But I don't know how much of that deductible (if any) the dealer actually gets.

That and say I bring it in and I have issues with three separate things, do I get hit for $100 on each or just $100 for the one trip to the service department. Basically just trying to figure how much they jerk you around once you get past the factory warranties and are tapping into the ESP.

My wife used ESP on her Taurus for two issues and was just the $100 for both a TPMS in a tire and another sensor in the engine compartment. FYI

I have an extended warranty and they keep finding ways not to honor it. They offered me a 60-40%, but that's not what I thought I was paying for when I agreed to their sales pitch
